Top 4 NEWBORN Questions
1. WHEN
I recommend booking your newborn session during your pregnancy. Your booking is initially reserved around your estimated due date, so there's no need to know exactly when your baby will arrive.
Once your baby is born, simply let me know the exciting news and we'll arrange your actual session date.
Newborn sessions are ideally photographed when your baby is around 6–14 days old, although older newborns are absolutely welcome. I only take a limited number of newborn bookings each month to allow flexibility for babies who arrive earlier or later than expected.
Baby already born? No problem! Get in touch and I'll let you know my next available session. Beautiful newborn photographs can still be created with older babies too.
For maternity sessions, there is a little more flexibility. Some mums prefer to photograph a smaller bump, while others love documenting those final weeks of pregnancy. My preference is around 32–33 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined but you're hopefully still feeling comfortable and have plenty of energy. It also gives us a little breathing room in case your baby decides to arrive earlier than expected!
2. WHERE
Sessions are held in my warm and welcoming Malvern East studio in Melbourne. The studio provides a calm and comfortable environment for your newborn session, with beautiful natural light and everything we need to photograph your baby. Private bathroom and changing facilities are also available for your comfort. Sessions are available Monday to Friday.

GIFT REGISTRY
We also have the option to setup a GIFT REGISTRY for your loved ones to contribute to your photographs. Friends and family love that it’s easy and thoughtful gift. Many clients end up not having to pay much because it’s all taken care of. We’ve found including your unique link into your baby shower invite is a polite way to ask for their contribution.
